Chris Florance
Chris Florance worked in the private sector in Dallas for 35 years running his own businesses. He has been active in running or owning 8 companies involving General Contracting and Document Delivery. In late 2005 Chris was challenged to run for the office of County Judge. Those in the community, that made the request, challenged Chris to step up and deal with the many struggles the county was having with the enormous growth and the infrastructure that was 20 years behind. Rockwall County has been one of the fastest growing Counties in the United States and the fastest growing County in Texas Since 2003.
Since taking office, Judge Florance and the Commissioners Court has been actively saving the County millions of tax dollars and working diligently to improve the infrastructure of the County. Rockwall County is currently building a much needed Justice Center and has just recently passed a Bond Referendum in the amount of 100 million dollars to improve County thoroughfares. His personal interests revolve around Family and duties as a Chaplain for the State of Texas serving families of the Department of Public Safety.
