Lori Saunders
Employed with the City of Waxahachie for 9 1/2 years. I worked 8 1/2 years in the Municipal Court and in October 2008 became the City Secretary. I support the Mayor and City Council and work closely with the City Manager. I prepare and distribute all materials for City Council meetings and several Boards and Commissions, attend and record minutes of public meetings, organize and oversee City elections, maintain all public files.
I'm a member of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association and the North Texas Municipal Clerks Association. I serve on the Emergency Food and Shelter Board which distributes funds to agencies in Ellis County. I participate in the "D.E.A.R. Reading Program" and the "Adopt a Classroom Program" for the Waxahachie I.S.D. I also participate in the Brian Waters Education Foundation Classic golf tournament which all proceeds go to enhancing the quality of educational opportunities for students of the Waxahachie I.S.D.
